Dr. Lara McMahon

With over two decades of dedicated practice, Dr. McMahon has built a reputation for gentle, effective chiropractic care rooted in genuine compassion. Her journey from UW-Whitewater to Logan College of Chiropractic to serving 25 years in the Commerce Twp. community, she is now in the heart of Marshall, Michigan… Reflecting a lifelong commitment to Healing.

THE JOURNEY
From Wisconsin to Michigan
After graduating from UW-Whitewater with her Bachelor of Science in 1993, Dr. McMahon moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1995 to pursue her passion for chiropractic care. She graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2000 with honors in both Academic and Clinical Achievement, and was also awarded the coveted Student Doctor Award for her class.
When offered a position with a celebrated chiropractor in Michigan, she moved here in 2000 and began her career. After one transformative year, she opened her private practice in 2001 and proudly served the Commerce Township community for 25 years. In 2025 she moved her practice to Marshall, Michigan where she remains steadfast in providing the best possible care to everyone.
SPECIALIZATIONS
Gentle Care for Every Stage of Life
Although certified in Pediatrics in 2007, Dr. McMahon is also currently pursuing her Diplomate in the area — an extra specialty diploma offered to chiropractors who demonstrate exceptional expertise in pediatric care.
She specializes in the Webster Breech Turning Technique, a painless adjustment that offers pregnant women a gentle alternative to conventional turning methods which may be very painful.
In 2009, Dr. McMahon became proficient in KST (Koren Specific Technique) and offers it as one of her primary adjusting techniques. She also uses Diversified, Thompson, and Arthrostim methods to tailor care to each patient's unique needs.

Veterinary Chiropractic Care
As of December 2019, Dr. McMahon is certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy. Her specialty lies in chiropractic care for equines, with expertise extending to small animals as well. Your four-legged family members deserve the same quality of care.

BEYOND THE OFFICE
Life on the Farm
Dr. McMahon also rides and shows American Saddlebred horses and when not working can be found enjoying her farm outside Chelsea, MI.
