After graduating from UW-Whitewater with her Bachelor of Science in 1993, Dr. Lara McMahon moved to St. Louis, MO in 1995 to study chiropractic and is a 2000 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic.  She graduated with honors in both Academic and Clinical Achievement, and was also awarded the coveted Student Doctor Award for her class. 
 
When offered a job out of school with a  Chiropractor in Michigan, Dr. McMahon moved here in 2000 and began her career.  After one year, she opened her private practice in 2001 and has been serving the community ever since.
 
Although Certified in Pediatrics in 2007,  she is also currently pursuing her Diplomate in the area as well, which is an extra specialty diploma offered to Chiropractors.  She specializes in a painless adjustment known as Webster Breech Turning Technique which offers pregnant women an alternative to conventional turning methods which may be very painful in some cases.

Dr. McMahon became proficient in KST in 2009 and is happy to offer it as one of her primary adjusting techniques to all of her patients.  She also uses Diversified, Thompson and Activator adjusting as well.

As of December 2019, Dr. McMahon is now Certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy, with her specialty in Chiropractic for the Equine, but also in small animals as well!
 
Dr. McMahon is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, Michigan Chiropractic Association and also does Chiropractic Mission work with ChiroMission, a non-profit group "dedicated to serving the suffering and helping to provide a better standard of living with the use of natural, preventative Chiropractic care as well as raising funds for food, shelter, and clothing." --Chiromission statement 
 
She also rides and shows American Saddlebred horses and when not working can be found enjoying her farm outside Chelsea, MI.
